RMA-Episode Lucky 13 Show Notes:
Hi folks! This week Mike and Nat sit down with Cathi Wilder, LCSW, to talk about recovery from a different perspective. A psychiatric social worker, Cathi spent the bulk of her career in the working with patients who were dually diagnosed with addiction and concommit mental health issues. She also worked for 15 years in the methadone maintenance program for the Department of Health. In the course of her employment Cathi worked with a huge number of patients who had all kinds of issues, and we are lucky to have her to offer her insights into addiction and recovery. She also has a couple of good stories about the length some people will go through to pass a urine test. We think you’re going to really enjoy this conversation.
Plus, the weekly wrap-up, Recovery in the News and The Week in Weird on a medically treated, therapized, thoroughly inane episode of Recovery in the Middle Ages

If you’re in trouble with substance abuse and need help, reach out. There are thousands of people who have put problems with addiction in their rear-view mirrors and you can be one of them. While we neither endorse nor condemn any particular program, the sheer number of available AA and NA meetings suggest that reaching out to those organizations would be a good first step on the road to recovery.
