Are Creative People More Prone to Addiction? Does Getting High Help or Hurt Creativity?
RMA-Episode 88 Show Notes:
RMA-Episode 88: This week on RMA we explore the alleged link between substance abuse and creativity. Contrary to popular belief, creativity does not disappear when the alcohol and drugs are no longer available. Your genetic makeup remains the same, so the drive to take risks creatively is still there. Are creative people more prone to addiction? What are some strategies you can use to remain creative after the drugs wear off?
We also have a Monkster’s Speak, a new review, and a lot of discussion about what we’ve been up to lately. It’s a lot of RMA. Can you handle it?

If you’re in trouble with substance abuse and need help, reach out. There are thousands of people who have put problems with addiction in their rear-view mirrors and you can be one of them. While we neither endorse nor condemn any particular program, the sheer number of available AA and NA meetings suggest that reaching out to those organizations would be a good first step on the road to recovery.
