A Monkster’s Tale: Zed’s Journey from Cannabis to Clarity - Breaking the Chains of Addiction
Episode 124: A Monkster's Tale: Zed's Journey from Cannabis to Clarity
This week Mike and Nat welcome Zed to the podcast to tell his story of his weed and alcohol addiction, and his recovery through the 12 steps. Zed began smoking weed and drinking in college and things quickly got out of hand. A speeding arrest, coupled with the impending arrival of his first child, became Zed's turning point towards the healing path of the 12 steps. Now, as a certified SMART Recovery Coach who also champions the profound impact of the 12 Steps, Zed's blended approach to aiding others in their recovery is both refreshing and inspiring.

If you’re in trouble with substance abuse and need help, reach out. There are thousands of people who have put problems with addiction in their rear-view mirrors and you can be one of them. While we neither endorse nor condemn any particular program, the sheer number of available AA and NA meetings suggest that reaching out to those organizations would be a good first step, (but maybe not the last step), on your road to recovery.
